Boom! Boom! The World vs Boris Becker (2023)

Winner of a Gold Muse Award (Marketing & Promotional - Poster (Single) 2023) and winner of a Silver Graphis (Poster Awards 2024). The documentary focuses on the rise and fall of tennis legend Boris Becker, the youngest ever Wimbledon champion, who in his later years became a man convicted of fraud related to bankruptcy. We wanted to capture a slice of his extraordinary life and career, while simultaneously presenting an iconic image that fit perfectly within the Apple TV+ aesthetic. Key Art and TV App assets were produced.

We approached the task from all angles, slowly narrowing in on visuals that conveyed conflict and struggle. We wanted to maintain the imagery of tennis and Boris, while adding a unique take that would be memorable. After figuring out how to combine Boris, the court, and the struggle all into one concept, it was game, set, and match.
